A PRIMARY school will get £105,000 for a new classroom, thanks to the Government's New Deal.
Holy Trinity Primary School, in School Lane, Cookham, is one of six schools in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead which will benefit from the extra money from the Department for Education and Employment.
Staff and governors at the school want to replace some of its temporary accommodation and build a proper entrance.
Headteacher David Oakden, said: "We are delighted, it is something we asked for years ago.
"It will enable us to replace a classroom that is in a very poor condition."
Cllr Bryan Hedley, chairman of the Royal Borough's education board said: "The additional money is being directed at schools already on our priority list of repairs and improvements." so it will free up the council's own funds for work on other schools in the area." We have been to do this for the best part of ten years. , and create a proper environment for key stage one children
