THE love of a wee dram has led four Thames Valley businessmen to launch a new brand of quality malt whisky.
Associated Distillers Ltd, of Bourne End, has launched Lochindaal, a 43 per cent proof whisky from Islay, Scotland.
It is already being stocked in the pubs, clubs and restaurants of Henley-based brewery Brakspears, and a number of independent outlets. Talks are now taking place with major supermarket and off-licence chains.
"Searching out this outstanding malt took a great deal of time, but I could not say it was hard work and sacrifice," laughed company chairman Tim Thwaites.
