INSPECTOR Martin Bolton of Marlow police has warned burglary victims to guard against a repeat visit from raiders after a family was targeted for the second time this year.
The family, from Woodland Way, Marlow, had two Raleigh bicycles and a socket-set worth a total of £535 stolen from their garage between Sunday night and Monday morning.
Insp Bolton said some burglars will wait for victims to buy replacement equipment and strike again.
He said it was vital that victims of burglary appreciate the possibility of being the subject of repeat raids. "Villains are likely to return within a few weeks of an insurance payout," he said.
Insp Bolton is advising victims to check the security of their homes.
