Number plate bumps up price of Reliant Robin

GARAGE manager Terry Parslow has a bright yellow Reliant Robin for sale on his forecourt which is worth about £700 - or £8,500 with its DEL BOY number plate.
The eye-catching motor is almost identical to the comical vehicle in the popular TV comedy Only Fools and Horses.
It has been put up for sale at the Misbourne Garage, in Narcot lane, Chalfont St Giles.
The three-wheeler van even has the words Trotter's Independent Trading Company emblazoned on the side, which is the name of Del Boy's shady business enterprises in the much-loved BBC series.
The car itself is valued at £700, but Mr Parslow estimates the illustrious number plate bumps up the price to £8,500 - the reserve price when the car goes to auction at Sotheby's, London, in June.
Mr Parslow, 33, told the Bucks Free Press: "It's a great fun car to drive - it raises a smile wherever you go.
"I've had people in cars behind me photographing it as I'm driving along."
He added: "I was hoping David Jason might see the car because he only lives in Great Missenden."
In a sales pitch which was worthy of the great Del Boy himself, Mr Parslow said: "The car has come complete with a roof rack, pump-up tyres and see-through glass."
He added that the 1983 three-wheeler has 72,000 miles on the clock, and boasts long tax and MOT.
The vehicle has also had five previous owners.
Mr Parslow, who picked the van up from another dealer, revealed: "I've had a couple of enquiries to date - I'm advertising it in The Sunday Times this week, and The Sun phoned me up about it when they heard it was up for sale."
