TOWN councillors have renewed calls for CCTV to be installed near a skateboard park to curb a wave of vandalism.
Damage put at £4,000 has been caused since the skate park at King George V Playing Fields in Amersham was built in November.
Amersham town clerk Des Knowles said the site had suffered continuously from graffiti, vandalism, broken bottles and litter.
He said: 'We are going to get graffiti and criminal damage but we are looking to stop the offenders by making examples of as many of these vandals we can catch.'
In the most recent attack, a gate to the enclosure was smashed. Two 17-year-olds, from Wycombe and Ruislip, have been cautioned by police for spraying graffiti at the skate park in June.
In May, youths sprayed multi-coloured lettering and pictures over the tarmac surfacing, and CDs were taken from a rucksack, broken and scattered around.
In April, side panels to the skateboard ramp were smashed and plumbing controls at nearby Amersham Library were interfered with.
The town council is expected to go for one camera.
It could be used to monitor the library car park, the children's playground, the Chiltern District Council office car park and nearby sheltered housing.
A suitable surveillance system could cost about £15,000.
