Outraged villagers have threatened to block a main road in a bid to make council bosses listen to their protests about speeding.
Little Kingshill Village Society wants a blanket 30mph speed limit across the village with a 20mph limit near the school in Windsor Lane.
Anxious mothers and their children gathered at the school on Tuesday to highlight the dangers faced by infants who have to cross from the nursery school to the main school several times a day. There is no crossing on the 40mph limit road.
Michelle O'Donoghue, 37, of Watchet Lane, who has three children, said: "We are not going to give up. We will block the road off if necessary."
A 755-signature petition will be presented to Buckinghamshire County Council on September 21.
A spokesman for the county council said: "The petition will be discussed at the next meeting of the Chiltern Local Committee on October 5."
