TEACHERS and pupils are gearing up for two months of festivities to mark their school's 70th anniversary.
Staff at Pipers Corner School, Great Kingshill, have organised a host of activities between September and November.
Celebrations are expected to start with the cutting of the anniversary cake and a thanksgiving church service for parents later this month.
This will be closely followed by the official opening of the new swimming pool in October and an all-day dress rehearsal for the school's annual drama production Wind in the Willows, which will be showing throughout November for the school only.
Debbie Moogan, school press officer, said: 'The school production is always an extravaganza. Virtually all girls in the school become involved and many of the staff and parents too. It will be an entertaining evening.
'A lot of our girls end up on West End performances and go to stage school. We are very drama orientated.
'The whole school is excited about the celebrations. The new term will be eventful.'
