Widow Faith Light was woken by her seven-year-old son screaming as scalding water dripped from the ceiling and on to his bed.
Mother-of-three Faith says her Warden Housing Association property has been sodden all weekend and no one has helped, despite dozens of telephone calls.
She claims the entire first floor of the house in Perth Road, Totteridge, High Wycombe is soaked through and uninhabitable.
Faith, 32, whose husband died last year, said: "There was scalding water pouring out on to my son's bed. I went in and the bunkbeds, floor and ceiling were absolutely soaked through."
She called the emergency line at the Warden Housing Association and a plumber was sent to her home.
"He said the overflow pipe was pointing the wrong way, fixed the problem and left," said Faith.
But as she was emptying the sodden loft, a CD player fell through the ceiling causing further, more serious flooding.
She called the emergency line again and claims she was fobbed off.
She said: "I then rang environmental health and Warden Housing but none of them could help until Monday."
Jacqui Kissai, spokesman for the Warden Housing Association, said an officer had visited Faith's home on Monday morning and the source of the water is as yet unknown.
She added: "We will do our best to ensure any necessary repairs are made as quickly as possible."
Faith turned down the offer of being housed in temporary accommodation.
