WYCOMBE Heights golfer Mark Housego claimed the English Stroke Play Championship before joining his county colts team-mates to clinch the South East Counties North Division title.
The Wycombe golfer started his impressive roll at Notthingham's Ramsdale Park Golf Course where he produced two determined rounds to become the public course Champion of England.
In the morning round, Housego shot a 74 gross trailing Rob Swift from Warrington, the 1999 champion, by one shot.
However, in the afternoon the Bucks golfer produced a fine 72 pulling two strokes back on Swift to take the title.
But Housego wasn't finished there. He then teamed up with the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Colts in South East Counties league action and helped earn them a regional showdown with Southern Division winners Sussex.
The BBO played their final North Division match of the season against Bedfordshire last Saturday and a win there would see them capture the title and go through to regional finals.
Housego kept a 100 per cent winning record throughout the day, as did Beaconsfield's Robert Christian who won 6-5 and 6-5 to see the BBO to a 9-3 victory.
The three county side had an excellent morning, taking the foursomes 3.5 to .5.
They then needed just three points from the eight afternoon singles to take the North title, which they secured comfortably by mid-afternoon.
They now meet Sussex on October 14 to decide the South East Group title.
