THE largest number of local historians to meet in one place will join for a conference this weekend.
More than 250 historians will be at the inaugural conference of the Bucks Local History Network on Saturday in Aylesbury. Displays will include mounted copies of two historic maps recently published in facsimile by Bucks Archaeological Society, the Jefferys map of 1770 and the Bryant Map of 1825.
Societies at the event will include the Marlow Society, the Amersham Society, Princes Risborough Area Heritage Society and Beaconsfield Historical Society.
Speakers will include Carenza Lewis from Channel 4's Time Team.
