The schoolboy hit the golden goal winner against Oxted after he had helped to take the tie into extra time.
Oxted had gone ahead after 25 minutes before Graham Thomas levelled it for Wycombe with a reverse stick shot. But Oxted nosed ahead again taking a two-goal lead with four minutes remaining before Andy Burroughs' penalty corner and Strange's flick forced it into extra time.
Wycombe, who begin their South Premier League campaign tomorrow, will play Lions in round two on October 15.
Their league campaign starts with a home clash against Maidenhead at Cressex (1pm).
Wycombe 2nds had a 3-0 win over Farnham Common with goals from Duncan Parnis (2) and Matthew Poulton.
The 3rds with goals from Chris Goodchild, Gavin Bunnett and Ian Harman went down 4-3 to Barnes.
Wycombe 4ths had a 3-2 win against Barnes thanks to Simon Webber's hat-trick.
The 4As won 5-0 with goals from Shahid (2), Kevin O'Linn (2) and youngster Stuart Cripps.
But the 5ths and 6ths went down 7-0 and 4-0. respectively.
Harlow continued their pre-season warm-up with a 5-4 win over local rivals Amersham.
Goals from Vikki Leach, Kerrie McAdam, Kath Woodliffe and Emma Thomas (2) sealed it for the Wycombe side.
The 2nds drew 4-4 with Amersham, with Heather Scutchings notching two, while Harlow 3rds went down 3-2 to their local rivals.
Wycombe Rye had a 5-0 friendly win over neighbours Marlow with Laura Lippiat (2), Alison Gowers, Sarah Pullman and Lisa Davies all getting on the scoresheet.
The 2nds lost 5-1 at Rover Oxford, while the 2As drew 1-1. Rye 3rds lost 5-3 to Windsor.
