DESPITE a one-week enforced break, because of the petrol crisis, Beaconsfield showed no signs of rust as they beat Buckingham 31-12 last Saturday.
Beaconsfield scored almost immediately, with Glen Tucker slipping the ball to Simon Crow to crash over in the corner.
Wai-Kwong Lin added another within minutes and Crow made it three before Buckingham could look round.
Ten minutes before the break, Buckingham pulled a try back, but Glen Tucker replied in kind to make it 31-5 at the break.
Beaconsfield failed to score again, but they had already done enough to win it with Buckingham only able to add a converted try in the final 40 minutes.
Beaconsfield go to Chipping Norton in the league tomorrow.
Chesham, missing several key players, had a 22-7 friendly win over Wheatley.
Andy Frankton got them off the mark with a penalty before Le Good added five points in the corner. Frankton converted to put them 10-0 up at the break.
Fly half Brandon added another after the break, with Frankton converting, before Steve Moore's try wrapped up the scoring.
