POLICE officer Christopher Maynard is suing the Metropolitan Police Force claiming he was misled when he applied to join the force.
PC Maynard, of Station Road, Beaconsfield, claims he was led to believe he would receive housing allowances which could be worth hundreds of pounds.
He is one of the latest officers to sue the police claiming he was misled when he made his application to join the force.
His name has been included on a writ issued at London's High Court against the Metropolitan Police Commissioner. The writ says that, when the recruits joined the force, the allowances did not materialise.
Other police who are suing other forces claim they were misled about pay as well as housing allowances and claim they left better paid jobs to become policemen and woman.
All claimants seek damages, but no date has been fixed for the hearing.
