A schoolgirl was involved in a collision with a car outside a school where councillors recently rejected traffic calming measures (Oct 4).
The 11-year-old pupil from Beaconsfield High School, in Wattleton Road, suffered an ankle injury in the accident involving a red Rover driven by a girl of 17 on Thursday. It is not yet clear how the accident happened.
Buckinghamshire County Council last week heard that residents and members of the town council did not want a proposed traffic calming scheme there to go ahead.
Cllr Paul Henry (Lib Dem, South Ward) this week called for the town council to reconsider its decision to oppose the traffic calming scheme.
Cllr Ann Maine (Con, South Ward) said: "There should be some form of traffic calming on this road."
