LASER printer manufacturer Lexmark International UK is supporting a new international initiative designed to raise awareness of the need to preserve the rainforests.
The Lexmark Rainforest Project is a programme designed to support the work of the Rainforest Foundation and the Tropical Rainforest Coalition and aims to increase environmental awareness for Lexmark customers, raise funds for both charities, as well as promoting the group's brand and Linea cartridges.
All Lexmark Linea toner cartridges made until the end of the year will include a campaign insert and a scratch card as well as links to the websites of both charities.
Graham Salmons, marketing director, said: 'Lexmark is committed to raising money for rainforest conservation, but companies do not have to make a financial commitment to help protect the environment we live in.
'The office is one of the biggest consumers of paper and paper products. By making sure paper is used effectively and recycled, a significant impact can be made on the volumes used.'
Customers will also have the chance to win more than 30,000 rainforest-related prizes, from toy frogs and monkey and there will also be one prize of an all-expenses-paid holiday for two to Brazil, including a trip to the rainforest.
Lexmark International UK has its head office in Westhorpe House, Little Marlow Road, Marlow.
