February 7, 2001 11:06: APPLICATIONS have begun to arrive from groups and charities interested in receiving a helping hand with a community project.
Retailer Wilkinson, which is opening a new home and garden store in April in the Chilterns Shopping Centre, has joined forces with the Bucks Free Press and supplier sponsor Henkel to give away £2,000 worth of products for local projects as part of its commitment to the community.
New store manager Simon Shankster said: "Wilkinson stores are at the heart of the community they serve and our helping hand initiative is just part of our commitment to High Wycombe.
Groups and/or charities should write initially to Judy Warschauer, Helping Hand Project, Bucks Free Press, Gomm Road, High Wycombe, Bucks HP13 7DW, giving details of proposed projects.
Closing date for applications in February 16.
