February 9, 2001 10:15: POLICE investigating the shooting of Junior Anthony Brown believe they know the identities of the killers and are concentrating their efforts on trying to track them down.
The drugs-related murder took place in Woodside Road, Micklefield, on November 12 last year. Three men were arrested the following day but were released without charge.
Supt Euan Read of Thames Valley Police, senior investigating officer, refuted suggestions that the police appeared to be doing little about the killing.
He said: "Any informed members of the public could not have failed to notice the quite frenetic police activity since the night Junior died."
He said there were around 20 detectives working on the case, a drop of only five since the incident first happened.
Junior Anthony Brown suffered wounds to his torso, arm and leg and a post-mortem revealed he died as a result of a firearm wound to the chest.
