February 9, 2001 10:10: CARING cop Emma Taylor has vowed to throw away her bobby's uniform temporarily and don a pair of trainers to run the London Marathon for premature babies.
Ms Taylor, a Chiltern Vale officer, was born prematurely herself and has decided to help others by tackling the London Marathon in April.
She will be speeding round the course in aid of BLISS which helps provide life-saving equipment, sponsor nurse training, carry out research and support the families of premature babies.
She said: "I was a premature baby myself and may not have been here today if it were not for some expert care.
"When I look at my daughter it makes me determined to try and help others."
Ms Taylor has already raised money to refurbish part of Wycombe Hospital's Maternity Unit.
