February 16, 2001 9:44: A PUB has undergone a £475,000 transformation and is promising something for everyone.
The Red Lion in Red Lion Street, Chesham, is reopening as a Q's outlet, pledging a stylish, more contemporary design, with better layouts and improved bar service facilities.
It will also feature state-of-the-art gaming machines and a zoned music system.
Business development manager for Q's Jim Overy said the Red Lion would still be very much part of the community.
He said: "Some elements will focus on a relaxing environment, ideal for a night out chatting with friends or eating a meal, while others boast a lively atmosphere with video screens and pool, suited to the young at heart."
The Red Lion will also offer a brand-new menu.
The operator of the Q's brand, Punch Retail, the UK's second largest pub owner, is now looking for 15 new staff.
Pub manager Kerry Goodall said: "Candidates should be outgoing with a good sense of humour and prepared to serve both food and drink.
"Full training will be provided so previous experience is not essential."
Interested applicants should contact Louise Francis on (01283) 502543
