February 18, 2001 18:28: WYCOMBE Wanderers have been drawn to play Leicester City in the quarter finals of the FA Cup if they win their replay against Wimbledon on Tuesday.

The Blues earned a place in today's quarter finals draw after fighting their way back from two goals down to draw 2-2 against the Dons on Saturday.

The fifth round replay will take place at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night and should Wycombe win, they will play away to Leicester on March 10 or 11.

Wanderers pulled off an incredible fight-back on Saturday after trailing to first-half goals from Wimbledon's Mark Williams and Patrick Agyemang.

The Blues scored two goals in seven second-half minutes.

Michael Simpson began the recovery in the 72nd minute after manager Lawrie Sanchez had gone for broke with a triple substitution.

Simpson cut the deficit, rolling a shot in off the post after super-sub Sam Parkin's low cross had caused havoc and Keith Ryan's shot had been blocked.

Then, seven minutes later, Brown got on the end of a deep cross to force the ball over the line as Wimbledon angrily appealed for offside.

At half time, Wimbledon had looked home and dry after a business-like first half. They took the lead in the 32nd minute when Mark Williams planted his header beyond Martin Taylor.

And the Dons got their second goal just seconds after their keeper Kelvin Davis had denied Keith Ryan an equaliser. They made the most of their let-off by breaking down field and they doubled their lead when striker Agyemang latched onto Jason Euell's pass to steer the ball beyond Taylor just a minute before half time.

Wycombe's fight-back will go down in club history as one of their finest hours.

The replay will take place so soon because international matches have been arranged for the following week. Wycombe's fixture against Bristol Rovers, which was due to take place on Tuesday, will now be postponed.

The match was Adams Park's biggest money-spinner with the sellout gate generating nearly £120,000, of which Wycombe will keep 45%. The coverage by Match of the Day will bring in more than £18,000 plus Radio Five Live will pay a broadcast fee.
