February 23, 2001 10:01: HOSPITAL staff were lining the corridors to welcome The Duke of Kent as he opened the redeveloped Amersham Hospital.
The Duke was taken on a tour to see the new facilities, which include a day hospital and new out-patients, X-ray and physio departments, on Wednesday.
The Duke was received by Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Vice Lord-Lieutenant for Buckinghamshire.
The Dukesaid: "I was most impressed to speak to people and see how happy they are. I give my warmest congratulations and best wishes."
