February 26, 2001 16:46: LANE closures will be in force from tomorrow towards the railway bridge on the busy Amersham Hill in High Wycombe.
Eight weeks of essential works to the underside of the bridge on the A404 are due to start and three-way traffic lights will be set up in the first and last weeks of the operation. The majority of works will take place under the bridge and should not affect the traffic.
Work is due to end on April 28.
But Buckinghamshire County Council has warned motorists to prepare for delays.
A spokesman for the county council said: "Delays will be inevitable during these periods. Every effort will be made to carry out the works with the minimum of disturbance.
"We would ask the public to be patient while this work is carried out."
