February 26, 2001 16:38: WYCOMBE Arts Centre was filled to the brim with budding actors taking centre stage during half term.

The arts centre, in Spring Gardens, High Wycombe, was the location for half-term theatre workshops for children aged eight to 12.

The youngsters joined professional actors from RAW Theatre company to learn new skills including mask work and mime, theatre games and creating performance work.

Main themes running through the week were improvisation, imagination, comedy, creating, devising and making, percussion and fun.

Rob Watkins, one of the actors running the workshop, said: "It went brilliantly and they were all actors in the making. On the Friday we put on a play about a sprout, a magical Brussel sprout. It was a narrative play and all the children had equal parts and their parents came."
