February 27, 2001 10:52: I AM writing to let you know about a charity trek that I hope to take part in, in the hope that this will encourage readers to participate.
The Tuscany Trail is the first ever fundraising trip abroad organised by the Blue Cross animal welfare charity, and will take trekkers on an eight-day walking adventure through the beautiful regions of Umbria and Tuscany.
It promises to be not only a wonderful trekking experience but an opportunity that will raise much-needed funds to take care of the many unwanted pets taken in by the Blue Cross. At over 100 years old the Blue Cross is one of Britain's oldest animal welfare charities, aiming to rehome every animal that comes into care and relieve suffering.
I hope to join other animal lovers on this trail from September 15-22. It would be wonderful if readers could raise the sponsorship needed to take part in the Tuscany Trail and join us in this trek of a lifetime. For more information on how to take part in the Tuscany Trail you can contact the Blue Cross on (01993) 825502 or Email: events@bluecross.org.uk
