March 1, 2001 16:56: RESIDENTS are still suffering from the effects of severe flooding but council bosses say the problem is under control.
Ian Bradford, 41, owner of the Stag and Huntsman Garage in Hambleden, said: "We've not been able to use our living room for quite a few days this year. We couldn't use it for four days, we used it for two, then it flooded again and we've just started to use it once more, but it's still a bit wet."
Other badly hit areas include the Chalfonts, Chesham, Fingest and Hedgerley Lane in Gerrards Cross which has been closed to traffic after large quantities of water ran off a nearby park flooded by a natural spring.
The flooding has not led to many road closures, although speed restrictions are in place on roads around Bradenham.
A spokesman for Buckinghamshire County Council said: "We have the flooding much more in control this time round."
