Since I’m not going to be here on 13th March, I’ll publish this now. On that day, two years ago Eden opened and I think it’s been a great addition to the town. It’s certainly livened things up in the town centre and provided us with much needed entertainment facilities, especially the bowling alley and cinema complex.
Of course some stores are empty and it is true that some shops simply moved out of the old premises elsewhere in town. That is a problem but it doesn’t stop Eden being a good thing in my opinion.
Some people don’t like it- their entitled to their views and I respect that. But as far as I can see, the benefits of Eden far outweigh the negatives. Add to the positives the fact that we got a new bus station, library and tourist information centre. I think Wycombe’s done alright in the past half-decade.
