WORK has started today on a survey of land at Pinewood Studios as part of a planning application for a multi-million pound development.
An archaeological survey of land set aside for new film sets and 1,400 homes is taking place and is due to last for two weeks.
The work is to make sure there is nothing of value underneath the land before any future building development takes place.
It entails digging trenches and removing samples for analysis.
The information was released this week to reassure residents work has not begun illegally on the development site.
A decision on whether the controversial £200million project will go ahead or not is set to be made by South Bucks District Council's planning committee next month.
A mock-up Venetian canal and a Paris city centre square are among the sets that would be built.
