Booker Common & Woods Protection Society holds its AGM at Booker Memorial Hall on Tuesday, May 19th, at 8pm.
The Society aims to protect and conserve the peace and beauty of the countryside bordering the Booker area. As such it both carries out practical conservation work and monitors and, if necessary, acts to prevent any developments that could intrude on the Green Belt and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of which this area is a part.
All are welcome at the Society's AGM. The business meeting, which will be brief, will be preceded by the presentation of the Alan Duggin Memorial Award to the John Hampden School Eco Club and will be followed by a talk on 'Local Fungi' by Chris Ryde of the Wycombe Ranger Service.
