Booker & District Horticultural Society celebrates the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Society in 2009. As part of the celebration the programme for the year includes a special evening on February 20th when Timothy Walker, director of Oxford Botanic Garden, will be talking about the Garden. Timothy Walker has a reputation as an excellent speaker, non-members will be welcome and the Society hopes that the Memorial Hall will be full on that evening. So make a note of the date and time (8pm) in your diary now and be sure to come along to the hall on that evening. As always, the Society has a varied programme of meetings, shows and visits planned for the year. For full details ring 01494 630192.
