It’s official. Primark is setting up shop in the Chilterns centre. This will be good for Wycombe because for once a shop is moving in that is actually selling items aimed at the people of the town indeed I have many friends who travel out of Wycombe just to go to a Primark. What’s more unlike the boutiques in the complex they sell men’s clothes too so there may even be something for me in the new shop!
It’s also good news for another reason because we desperately need businesses to move in and fill the empty retail units vacated by the shops who deserted the town centre for the lure of the complex. Hopefully a shop with a large following of customers will breathe new life into the old part of Wycombe and rejuvenate it safeguarding its future.
As I rarely leave my beloved Wycombe I have never visited a Primark shop but from what my friends tell me they sell fashionable clothes at very reasonable prices. My friends wear clothes from Primark and speak very highly of them.
Of course the question is if the complex is so good why did Primark not decide to set up shop in the complex after all it is where all the people are supposed to be isn’t it?
Without doubt I look forward to the opening of the new store and will probably have a wander round on the opening day to see for myself what they sell. At least we know Wycombe is still attractive to business which is very good news.
Does anyone know if they sell double breasted suits....
