WE can all be territorial when it comes to people trespassing on our land or property.
But I think some of us are definitely more territorial than others.
Recently, kids from Chiltern Harriers running club accidentally strayed off a public footpath in Amersham during a training run and entered a nearby field.
Oh dear, what a mistake.
Within minutes, an aggressive lady in a Land Rover had roared over to them and ordered them off her land.
Despite the fact that they were with their adult trainer - who apologised for their transgression - the landowner berated them about their misdemeanour and told them to read up on the Countryside Code.
Then she roared off.
Charming.
Although my own kids are members of the Harriers, they were fortunate to be in a different training group that morning.
However, they said that the youngsters involved - aged about 10 to 13 - had been left shocked and upset by the woman's attack.
Who she was, nobody knew.
But she didn't make any new friends that day, that's for sure.
