Hundreds of spectators gathered along Amersham’s High Street to see the official turning of the town’s Christmas lights.

On Saturday, November 30, the town was rammed with people as many residents made their way into numerous shops ahead of the main event at 4.30pm that day.

Amersham’s Mayor Cllr Dominic Pinkney began the proceedings at 12noon, where those in attendance were met with live entertainment, as the Dr Challoners Grammar School Rock Club Bands performed a range of music.

The latter finished off with Carols and Christmas music.

The stars of Aladdin from the Elgiva in Chesham switched on the Christmas Tree lights this year, with the town’s MP Sarah Green also being present on the day.
