A bus company is set to launch a competition for good causes to be decked out on one of their buses.

Carousel Buses will give the winner of their Brand the Bus competition the chance to have their branding displayed on a double-decker bus.

The advertising initiative, set to start in January 2025, will also include partnerships with Wycombe Wanderers and Wycombe Sound.

The competition is open to local charities and good causes who want to increase their visibility.

The winning charity, selected by public vote and a judging panel, will have their branding displayed on a Carousel Buses vehicle for a full year.

This will be part of an overall advertising package worth £60,000.

The winner will collaborate with Carousel Buses to design a bus wrap that features their brand colours, logo, and key messages.

Luke Marion, managing director of Carousel Buses, said: "We’re proud to be launching Brand the Bus in Buckinghamshire to support local good causes.

"Brand the Bus has delivered a significant impact in Oxfordshire for various charities and good causes and we’re thrilled to be expanding it to Carousel Buses.

"We care deeply about the communities we serve and believe in giving back where we can."

The competition is the first of its kind for Carousel Buses, inspired by a similar initiative by its sister company, Oxford Bus Company.

Charities and good causes based in Buckinghamshire can enter the competition by registering online from January 1, 2025.

They will need to provide background information and explain the impact winning the competition would have on their cause.

The entry period will close on March 1, with public voting running until April 1.

The top ten entries will then be assessed by a judging panel, with the winner announced in June.

Neil Peters, Wycombe Wanderers’ head of business operations, said: "Wycombe Wanderers is delighted to throw our support behind Carousel Buses’ Brand the Bus campaign and encourage local charities to get on board and put themselves forward for this fantastic opportunity."

Liam Gates, managing director at Wycombe Sound, said: "Wycombe Sound is proud to be supporting an initiative that will help shine a light on some amazing non-profit organisations in the local area.

"We can't wait to see all the amazing local good causes take part and the winner branded across a bus travelling and heard on the airwaves."

Carousel Buses, part of the Go-Ahead Group, operates services across High Wycombe and South Buckinghamshire, as well as parts of Berkshire, Hertfordshire, and Uxbridge, carrying more than 5 million passengers each year.
