Over £3,000 has been raised for the neonatal department at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
The money came from a fundraiser organised by two local nursery workers, Miss Abbey and Miss Anisa, who ran a half marathon from Downley to the Aylesbury-based hospital on Wednesday, November 20.
The initial target that was set was £1,000, but this tripled in the build up to their trek from South to Central Bucks.
The two work for the Chiltern Hills Montessori Nursery
They said: “Our commitment to this cause reflects our dedication to helping vulnerable babies and their families, making it a special event for our community.
“This run not only symbolizes our compassion but also serves as an opportunity for people to contribute and raise funds for the department.”

The distance between Downley and Stoke Mandeville Hospital is 13.1 miles – half of what a marathon is.
