A new greenhouse has been built at a community allotment.

The structure, located at the Cameron Road allotments in Chesham, was built by Sorbon Estates and The Garden Shed Project.

This initiative, led by Sorbon's Jordan Britnell and a team of volunteers, aims to provide year-round gardening opportunities for the charity’s members.

The construction took place on November 8.

The company’s charitable arm, the Shanly Foundation, funded the project.

The greenhouse will be used for growing plants, teaching gardening skills, and supporting the charity’s mission to promote sustainable practices and mental well-being through community horticulture.

Sian Britnell, The Garden Shed Project leader, said: "Thanks to the efforts of the Sorbon Estates volunteers, our vision has come to life.

"The team was incredible; they worked efficiently, brought great energy, and were wonderfully inclusive with our members, involving them every step of the way.

"It was a day of teamwork, laughter, and accomplishment."

The Garden Shed Project is a local charity focused on community gardening for people of diverse abilities.
