A large amount of litter has been discovered in a popular social and green area of Loudwater.
Plastic carrier bags, broken-up furniture and several planks of wood were found in the car park of Kingsmead Recreation earlier this month.
A member of the public reported the fly-tipping via the Fix My Street website, which has notified Buckinghamshire Council of the offence.
They have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
In July this year, the unitary authority confirmed that anyone found guilty of deliberately littering/fly-tipping in the county will be fined £500 with no discount for early payment.
It is part of their ‘For Bucks Sake’ campaign to try and reduce littering across Buckinghamshire.
The £500 fines will double to £1,000 if not paid within 28 days.
Speaking back in July about the new scheme, Thomas Broom, Buckinghamshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Environment explained the reasoning behind the new campaign.
He said: “For too long, littering has been seen as a low-impact misdemeanour, when in fact, it is a huge blight on our community.
“Buckinghamshire is not unique in having problems with litter, but we are one of the first councils choosing to tackle the issue head-on with this hard-hitting, zero-tolerance approach.”
