More information has been provided following a burglary at an independent shop in High Wycombe.

Ruby Moon, which sits at the top of Castle Street in the town, was illegally entered last week where several items were taken.

The goods ranged from jewellery to accessories such as hats and sunglasses to hair dye.

It is the business’ first break-in for ’10 to 15 years’ according to the shop’s co-owner, Matt Moon, who described the incident as a ‘pain in the a**e’.

He told the Free Press: “At the end of November, we lay out all our cash on stock and we still have more to get.

“November is also our VAT quarter, so I have just spent money on a VAT bill.

“We are also up on spending at the end of November just before Christmas, and the people who came took half of our stock.

“They also took ornaments.

“They just ransacked as they took whatever they had their eyes on.”

Following the incident, Thames Valley Police have provided some additional information, whilst also asking for the public’s help.

They said: “The shop was burgled sometime between 6pm on November 19 and 10am on November 20.

“A number of items were taken from the shop by the offender(s).”

“Thames Valley Police is carrying out an investigation into the burglary but if anyone has any information or footage covering the area then please contact us.

“You can visit a police station, leave any information via our website - How to tell us about an existing case or report | Thames Valley Police – or call 101, quoting investigation number 43240561798.”

Following the burglary, £1,140 has been raised for the shop via a GoFundMe page.
