An overhanging tree has caused five miles of traffic on the M40 near High Wycombe this evening (Sunday, November 24).
National Highways had to dispatch contractors to deal with the hazard
Drivers faced 45 minute delays as two lanes of the motorway were closed to carry out the works.
National Highways reported that the tree was removed at around 7.40pm.
Delays of 15 minutes due to three miles of traffic were reported shortly after the works were completed.
