A former Buckinghamshire New University student is making waves in the international acting scene.
Ricardo P Lloyd, 30, who studied at the university between 2013 and 2016, has built a thriving career in film, television, and on stage.
The Ipswich-born actor has appeared in BBC productions and performed alongside icons such as Mark Rylance.
Mr Lloyd's journey hasn't been without its challenges.
Earlier this year, he lost his agent, but his determination only grew stronger.
He said: "I’ve faced obstacles all my life. But they’ve made me stronger.
"It’s about believing in yourself and knowing there’s no ceiling to what you can achieve."
His recent ventures have seen him attending the London premiere of Gladiator 2, where he mingled with Hollywood and British stars.
In October, he hosted a prominent event in Birmingham focusing on neurodiversity and representation.
Mr Lloyd's efforts in the arts have not gone unrecognised, as he recently received the Nela Academy Award.
He is also known for advocating for greater diversity in the entertainment industry and has partnered with Hidden Sea Wine.
For current and future students at Buckinghamshire New University, Lloyd’s success story offers inspiration.
He believes that success is not about fame, but about resilience and the impact one leaves behind.
Mr Lloyd added: "Success isn’t about fame. It’s about the courage to keep going and the impact you leave behind."
