Carousel Buses is set to run a record number of services during the festive season.

The company aims to ensure residents have ample public transport links over Christmas and New Year.

Carousel Buses has announced enhanced special bus timetables, making this year's festive timetables the most extensive across their network.

On Christmas Eve, services 27, 275, and 577 will follow their usual Monday to Friday timetables.

Services 1, 1B, 34, 38, 39, 39A, 41, 104, 106, 107, 581, and 583 will operate a full Saturday timetable.

All other services will also follow a Saturday schedule but with an early finish, and the final Flightline 102 service will leave Heathrow at 8.25pm.

Christmas Day will see no bus services, but the airline coach service, operated by Carousel Buses’ sister organisation Oxford Bus Company, will run, connecting High Wycombe, Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport, and Oxford.

Boxing Day and New Year's Day will see special service timetables on routes 1A, 32, 33, 102, 103, 850, and the airline.

Heathrow has also provided funding for the Flightline 102 service.

The 724 journeys will stop at all points between Watford Junction and Uxbridge Station.

On New Year’s Eve, services 27, 275, and 577 will operate a full Monday to Friday timetable.

Services 1, 1B, 34, 38, 39, 39A, 41, 104, 106, 107, 581, and 583 will continue with a full Saturday timetable.

All other services will follow a Saturday schedule with an early finish, and the last Flightline 102 service will depart Heathrow at 8.25pm.

All services will operate as normal on December 28 and 29, while on December 30, services 27, 275, and 577 will follow a Saturday timetable, and all other routes will also follow a Saturday timetable.

PickMeUp will run as usual from December 27 to 31.

Carousel Buses managing director, Luke Marion, said: "We’re pleased to be offering more services than ever before to our passengers across the festive period to help people travelling locally and to the airports.

"We're very grateful to our partners at Buckinghamshire Council and Heathrow Airport who have helped us deliver the much-improved festive local bus network this year."

Buckinghamshire Council's deputy leader and cabinet member for transport, Steven Broadbent, said: "I am really pleased to see the extensive bus services that Carousel will be providing throughout the Christmas and New Year period in Buckinghamshire.

"This increase in services will undoubtedly encourage more residents to opt for public transport."
