Another said: "We went to Great Missenden last Sunday and this was the only pub that was open. It's in a beautiful village and the roast beef we had was superb. It came with potatoes, carrots and a variety of other vegetables and the £17.25 paid was really worth it."

The roast dinners are worth visiting for, with one person saying: "Absolutely wonderful Sunday roasts and the prawn cocktail starter was amazing. Service was good and lovely wine. Thank you and we will return."
Another added: "We were a group of 7 and we all had roasts. Some had the beef and some had the chicken all were delicious. Great portions, gravy was plentiful and even the roast potatoes were really good."
