High Wycombe has been ranked as the third cosiest town in the UK for pubgoers.
The town achieved a cosiness score of 73.77 per cent, with 25 pubs featuring fireplaces per 100,000 residents.
In total, High Wycombe is home to 29 pubs with fireplaces, making it a perfect spot for those looking to warm up this winter.
The Wheel, General Havelock, and Crooked Billet are among the top-rated cosy pubs in the town.
The study, conducted by GG.co.uk, compiled a list of the best-rated pubs with fireplaces in 73 major UK towns and cities.
The analysis used Google ratings and data from UseYourLocal.com for areas with populations exceeding 100,000.
Each location earned a cosiness score based on the number of pubs with real fireplaces that also featured large TV screens, broadcast sports like football, rugby, cricket, or horse racing, or provided access to Sky Sports or TNT Sports.
Gateshead was ranked the cosiest place in the UK for pubgoers, with a nationwide cosiness score of 98.69 per cent.
High Wycombe near London ranked third for having the cosiest pubs in the UK, scoring 73.77 per cent on the cosiness scale.
Pubgoers looking for homely warmth this festive season are spoiled for choice here, with the second highest rate in the country for pubs with fireplaces per capita.
There are 29 of them in total, rated 4.38 out of five on Google.
The ones visitors were most impressed with are Wheel, General Havelock and Crooked Billet.
High Wycombe pubs seem to favour football fans, with ten out of the 29 pubs with fireplaces showing football matches regularly.
Eight of them have rugby on, another five cater to cricket fans and one broadcasts the racing channel.
