A popular pizza joint in High Wycombe has been given a food hygiene rating of two out of five following a recent inspection.

Jimmy’s Pizza, which is situated along Cressex Road in the town, was examined on October 15 this year.

Following the review by Buckinghamshire Council, they gave the establishment a below-average score due to its food hygiene and safety, along with confidence in management being ‘generally satisfactory’.

However, the business’ structural compliance needed ‘necessary improvement’.

Despite the poor rating, Jimmy’s is frequently visited by those in the area, with the pizza parlour boasting an average score of 4.5/5 from 90 Google Reviews – many of which are positive.

One from earlier this year reads: “Always ordering pizza from here, and I can tell you it is the best pizza shop in High Wycombe.

“Always fresh. Always made to perfection, fresh and tasty.”

Another High Wycombe eatery that received a low score was the Cod & Fry Fish and Chip shop along Marlow Road.

The establishment was also inspected on October 15 by Buckinghamshire Council.

They were given a score of one out of five – the second lowest a business can receive.

The inspector thought the food hygiene and safety was ‘generally satisfactory’, but its structural compliance was in ‘necessary improvement’ and that ‘major improvement’ was ‘necessary’ for its confidence in management.

On Google, Cod & Fry have a score of 4/5 from 116 reviews.
