A three-year wait for answers to how a Marlow man died whilst in Jamaica is set to go on after the inquest into his death was adjourned again.
Peter James Lampen Griffiths, 43, died on February 25, 2022, in the South American county.
A pre-inquest review was held on May 14 this year where the case was adjourned.
But now, almost three years on from his death, the case has been adjourned again due to a lack of information provided to the coroners' court.
Speaking at a hearing in Beaconsfield on Thursday (November 21), senior coroner Crispin Giles Butler said there had been 'no further details to confirm the medical cause of death'.
He added that the death 'appears to follow what may have been a medical episode'.
Mr Griffiths was repatriated to Buckinghamshire for his funeral but the inquest heard how his family are still waiting for answers.
The coroner added that this was the eighth pre-inquest review held in this 'long standing inquest'.
The case was adjourned until April 3, 2025, at 11.50 at the same court.
An inquest is a judicial inquiry in common law jurisdictions, particularly one held to determine the cause of a person's death.
Conducted by a judge, jury, or government official, an inquest may or may not require an autopsy carried out by a coroner or medical examiner.
