Family, friends, neighbours, and staff members at the care home all gathered to celebrate Ms Moore's 100 years.

The day was filled with tributes to a life centred on love, laughter, and service to others.

Ms Moore attributes her happiness and strength to her late husband, with whom she shared a marriage of more than 50 years.

They met in their early twenties and built a life filled with family and friendship.

Her daughter, Lesley, said: "Mum always said she was lucky to find the love of her life, and she carried that joy into every aspect of her life.

"Dad’s belief in her laid the foundation for our family."

Her daughter Brenda added: "They were a team in everything.

"That sense of humour and joy is something she’s passed down to all of us."

Throughout her life, Ms Moore has been committed to improving her community.

She remains an active member of the Women’s Institute, where she continues to make friends and contribute to village activities.

As part of the birthday celebrations, the care home arranged a surprise performance by jazz singer Andrew Bourn, a finalist on Britain's Got Talent.
