Both sides of Amersham Old Town High Street will be closed for 24 hours for a funeral.
Residents in the area were notified about the sudden closure the week commencing Monday, November 18, with the service taking place on Wednesday, November 20.
It has not been publicly announced as to whose funeral it is.
The High Street was cordoned off on Tuesday, November 19 at 7pm, with it planned to be reopned on Wednesday, November 20 at the same time.
Despite this, Amersham High Street in the New Town remains open.
However, a new sign has since been erected confirming it will reopen at 3pm.
