An events organiser is celebrating a decade of success in the trading card game scene.
Axion Now, based in Buckinghamshire, is one of the country's largest organisers of events for Magic: The Gathering.
Since its inception in 2014 by founders Elizabeth Kolb and François Hauchard, Axion Now has become the go-to for the best Magic: The Gathering events.
The company is recognised for its unique approach, catering to both casual and competitive players, with a serious prize pool at stake.
They made history by introducing the UK's first Magic: The Gathering national event series, CommandFest, a tournament festival for the Commander format of the game.
Axion Now is the approved partner of Wizards of the Coast, the US-based creators of Magic: The Gathering.
Co-founder and CEO Elizabeth Kolb said: "It’s been an absolute pleasure working with everyone at Axion Now over the past ten years.
"Highlights for me were establishing a junior club because of my passion as a mum and the joy of bringing families together to simply have fun.
"It has also been a special experience to bring together a huge cross-section of people from so many internationally different backgrounds and from all sorts of demographics.
"We have a genuine inclusivity at our events where everybody shares the same passion."
As the company continues to grow, Axion Now is committed to organising bigger and better face-to-face events at exciting venues across the UK.
Their goal has always been to create happiness and ensure people have fun at their events.
They have recently expanded their event offerings to include the Disney Lorcana trading card game, in addition to Magic: The Gathering.
The company is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special event at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham on the weekend of November 23 and 24, 2024.
More than a thousand players from across the country and beyond will be gathering for competitive games with fabulous prizes, casual games, and the chance to meet their favourite artists or trade their collectible cards.
Ms Kolb said: "As a marketing professional in the early stage of my career, I also enjoy the ability to conceive a new idea, put it into place quickly and make an immediate impact in our small business."
The company’s purpose is to bring people together to have fun, and they strive to promote inclusivity, commonality, and happiness in their corner of the world.
As they look forward to the next ten years, Axion Now aims to become the European leader in delivering trading card game events, creating one community made up of diverse people with one common passion.
