Despite many residents in the Thames Valley waking up to a relatively thick layer of snow this morning, the white stuff is NOT expected to return this week.

Thousands of people across the region woke up to a winter wonderland as parts of the South East were coated in snow following a silent storm.

The icy, cold and slushy conditions forced one school in Buckinghamshire [Grendon Underwood Combined School] to close, whilst numerous delays on the roads were caused.

However, the Met Office has revealed that no more snow is expected to fall in the region this week.
