High Wycombe’s brand-new Greggs store was closed for two days just weeks after its official opening.

The outlet, which is the fourth one in the town, officially unveiled itself on Friday, November 1 inside the Eden Centre Shopping.

It replaced the outgoing Patisserie Valerie which left the complex in January.

It is the town’s fourth Greggs outlet, joining other branches in Micklefield, Queens Street and New Road respectively.

Signs in the shop window on November 13 said that the store was closed ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’.

It was due to reopen one day later but failed to do so, before it started to trade once more on November 15.

A member of staff told the Free Press that a ‘water leak’ was the reason why the bakery wasn’t open for two days.

It has since reopened with customers being spotted eating in and taking away their goods.
