Buckinghamshire Council has launched a consultation on its new 'All-Age Carers Strategy Consultation'.
The strategy, shaped by feedback from unpaid carers and professionals, outlines how the council plans to provide meaningful support to carers.
The aim is to help carers maintain a good quality of life alongside their caring responsibilities.
The council has worked closely with carers of all ages to develop the strategy's priorities.
A young adult carer even wrote the strategy's forward.
The council now wants to hear from unpaid carers, professionals, and residents to ensure the priorities are correct and to identify any additional areas of focus.
The feedback will help the council improve its support for carers.
Angela Macpherson, deputy leader and cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: "I am delighted to present our draft strategy for consultation, which has been co-produced with partners and carers of all ages in Buckinghamshire.
"There are so many carers that we do not know about and many who do not recognise themselves as a carer.
"We have a great opportunity to reach and support more carers through our delivery work with partners."
The consultation, including a printable survey, is available on the council's website and will close on December 15.
All feedback will be reviewed and integrated into the final strategy, which will include an action plan to drive improvements for carers.
